As I’ve gotten older, I’ve really curtailed the funerals I go to. Unless I had an active, we-talked-and-hung-out-very-frequently type relationship with the deceased, I dont attend their funeral.

My dad would go to funerals of distant relatives, friends of his deceased parents, people he worked with 30 years ago, friends’ parents he never met, etc. Consequently, he was going to 2-3 funerals a month! Of course, at his funeral, the church was overflowing!

And dont get me started on wedding attendance…LOL
