this event was done with military precision. Best state funeral I've witnessed in terms of the tributes and the execution. I wasn't going to watch due to my post-November blackout. I had turned on local news to make sure I wasn't in a fire evacuation zone
(I wasn't) and they were broadcasting the service. I tuned in when the son of Vice President Mondale delivered his father's address. Things got a little misty here and there like when the President was singing "Imagine" along with Garth and Trisha. Oh boy.

It doesn't get much better.

But the photographer did acknowledge TCF as a pillar of society. LIKE JIMMY HOFFA, alleged cornerstone of the Teamster's Building.

They cut out both Trump and Melania, but certainly could've taken and surely have a picture of all of them. I believe this was their way of making a statement while having plausible deniability - and kind of a classic way to throw some polite Southern "shade".

1SLR, 1 Digital Rangefinder, 2 Digital SLRs, and now phone, a digital camera given to me that I have to use.

I usually try to check all the sides (edges) of a shot. Even with my little Kodak Instamatic by the time I was around say 14 yrs old I tried to frame the pic.

Anyway, I think it was deliberate because if the photographer was paying attention to the sides; it's very obvious that the column base is right there. Possibly bc it seems that they kneeled, or crouched down to get that angle. If they first were standing in that position before doing that - they might have seen more of drumphf. Crouching down they cut him out. 👍

There isn't a pro photographer in the world who couldn't frame this picture to include him. One step to their left would have gotten him in. Totally love it.

There's also been a lot of "where's Michele?" She supposedly had a "scheduling conflict". Uh-huh. My theory? I read where she was supposed to be seated next to Mango Mussolini. My bet is she said, "No way in hell", and Barack either agreed, or knew better than to try and persuade her. And if that's the way it came down, GOOD FOR HER!
