(2,300 posts)The most people who died in the Ludlow Massacre were in underground bunkers during a firestorm. They suffocated because of no exhaust. I mean, even if they had an exhaust pipe/fan, it would only extend a few feet, not out of the fire zone, and would just serve as another way for toxins to enter.
