The real tragedy of Jimmy Carter's death?

We all die. Carter's death was not tragic. His life was a blessing, thus, his death is just another stop on a human journey.

The tragedy of his death is sitting in the National Cathedral where the President-elect DID NOT UNDERSTAND OR RESPECT A SINGLE WORD OF THE EULOGIES. In fact, don't be surprised if tomorrow he is mocking Carter. Count on it.

How deep we have sunk.

Jimmy Carter lived to be 100, a lot longer than most people. His death wasn't a tragedy; it was expected, and the funeral is a celebration of a long and productive life. The tragedy is that the next occupant of the office Carter once held and honored is the absolute opposite of everything that was good and decent about him and his presidency. Trump just squats there like a toad (no offense to toads, which are actually useful), not understanding any of it, and probably just trying to plan out how his own funeral could be bigger and fancier.

And yes, we'll soon see a nasty remark on his fake Xitter account.
