It's a desire for imperialism right?

Am I wrong that all this stuff Trump is hinting out in the open, things like putting economic pressure on Canada to become the 51st state, talking about taking back the Panama Canal etc. is just basic imperialism?

He doesn't have any idea how to actually accomplish imperialism. He just thinks America is great now because he delusionally believes he's the greatest president ever.

6. I agree Trump is too dumb to pull off imperialism, but what about his "deep state" that help pull his strings?

Trump wants to bully and intimidate other countries for domestic consumption even if he knows he can't realistically take them over. He's performing for MAGA.

i once though we had to burn all the gas so that our alien overlords would feel more at home in a higher carbon atmosphere and perhaps a warmer environment.

i'm down to we have to warm the planet to melt the ice so we can get at more oil.

4. Probably. But that aside i can see where Panama, Greenland and Canada would be a plus for us in the future.

Imperialism for all it's faults, has principles. The growth, security, aggrandizement of the state. Britain grew an empire on imperialism.

Was Hitler engaged in imperialism? I would argue not. Where is Trump headed? Branding, gilded flags and limousines? Who knows.
