has a haunting melody. MSNBC said it was A Mighty Fortress. Not to my ears. Sounded like something from one of the Ken Burns documentaries. It's brief, but has been played several times during the ceremonies of the last few days.
Sounds a bit like an Aaron Copeland piece.

This is the title to a hymn written by Martin Luther who started the protestant reformation in Germany

by invited pipe organists. You haven't lived if you haven't heard Bach's Toccata and Fugue in D Minor or the Brandenburg Concerto on that fabulous instrument. There wasn't a molelcule in the building that wasn't vibrating.

former Presidents are pretty much always the same, based on when they were in office. That’s why Michelle normally ends up next to Bush at these kind of events.

Watching the reading and the eulogies the contrast between this good man and Trump is astounding.

I don’t know how Cheeto man can sit there! Oh yeah, I forgot - he’s a malignant narcissist.

President Biden seem to be throwing some shade on diaper Don? He talked about Carter's integrity his lack of an ego and how he lived in a simple house without the trappings of wealth all the while looking right at the half asleep orange piece of garbage!

And when Biden mentioned abuse of power, Trump raised his head as if he was called out. Someone posted the clip on Twitter and reposted on bluesky.

That is how I saw the speech. It seemed to me that President Biden was looking at Donald Trump during certain points in the speech. VP Harris did not speak today, but I felt her speech at the Capitol building was similar to President Biden's speech. She brought up all the things President Carter did that Republicans hate and fight against.

I don't care. The Democratic party needs to start denying the GOP normalcy. It's an insult to Carter for him and his hooker wife to even be there.

Jason Carter's eulogy was the best one given. President Biden gave a great eulogy also. It was especially interesting to see (in my opinion) him looking at Trump when he said certain words and made certain points. However, Jason Carter's was better. I guess it was because he gave a picture of who his grandfather was as a person.

He is a sharp person. I've seen him make a few speeches all humorous and heartfelt, you can tell he wrote what he said and he meant it.
