People have waited on line in the bitter cold in DC to pay their respect to President Carter. It's about 20 degrees with a wind chill of 11 and still people came.

(85,363 posts)WHY? What for? What ON EARTH is the appeal of trump? Especially compared to President Carter - whose opening line was I will never lie to you.
Somebody has to explain it to me, cuz I just DO NOT get it. I dont trust him as far as I could throw Mar-a-Lago. No way in hell I could EVER be talked into voting for him. Hes as far opposite President Carter as its possible to imagine.

No need to nitpick. It has destroyed this country even as the few who horde almost all of it try desperately to convince us otherwise.

(18,430 posts)Like me who has lived through it Al, back to FDR, who I listened to on our fancy Crosley Radio. Fanciest piece of furniture in our house. My Dad got money when Grandpa sold the farm they owned. Bought our house and furniture. Farming community. No one went hungry.🥴
