I had a weird thought...

Could the Trump people be allowing Trump to spew all the weird shit he's saying - taking over Greenland, Canada and the Panama Canal are three items that come to mind quickly - to establish grounds that he's crazy and, therefore, needs to be removed via the 25th Amendment? Let's be real: threatening to annex sovereign nations ain't exactly normal or rational. Over here on the left side of the political spectrum it's pretty well established he's insane and I suspect the hard right believes the same thing.

And, whether it’s a distraction or not, I don’t think we can ignore these crazy things. I would like to see strong Dem pushback. Chuck Schumer and Dick Durban aren’t those guys, imho. Sheldon Whitehouse would be a better choice but I fuess that’s not going to happen.

The Fucked-up-Four are unusually abhorrent, even for tRump. Hogsbreath, Gabbard, RFinKjr, and that Cash Kash guy.

Every minute of every day. And the MSM, along with all of us who read this crap, are happy to accommodate his whims.

8. Using the 25th is harder than impeachment if he can file an objection....

While the vp and cabinet can invoke the 25th and he would lose poer for 2 weeks, he could petition congress that he is healthy and will resume the presidency.

Once he does that, he has full powers again until both houses, with a 2/3 vote, say otherwise.

At that point, he can merely repeat the process.

Impeachment only takes a majority in the house and 2/3 in the senate. No cabinet vote. No 2/3 in the house. And it's final. There is no appeal or petition possible.

What makes you think "the hard right" cares if Trump is crazy or not?
