It's been a time. Our first grandchild was born on Dec 27, so I've dipped into DU since that time -
the joy of being a grandparent obliterated the insanity of the recent news (we don't watch TV news).
Anyway - as we dig into 2025, my mind is trying to come up with the most apt label for this mess - are we now completely post-truth (or at least pretending the truth has any relevance)? Is it the age of the petulant greedy rich asshole infant? Are we entering death by polluted social media? Then there is the ignore the climate crisis era as it devours us in so many ways era.
Saying that this is totally fucking nuts (even as the orange turd is yet to take office) doesn't even begin to touch what we are seeing - and about to see.
OK - back to the miracle of our grandson, and the upcoming garden season. I am continuing to mostly check out of this insanity.
