She was able to get to her car and get to a friend's house, away from danger. Her husband was evacuated to the beach, which is supposedly a safe zone. They don't know if their home is safe.
A dear childhood friend is in the midst of the Pacific Palisades fire. Her sister reports that she is on foot, going from place to place, as she is trying to get out. I don't know if her husband is with her. But she is not safe.

of the fires, and the footage is just devastating. The overnight winds are said to get even worse.
