Live and in color from the U.S. Senate II: Congratulations Hawai'i!

Senator Mazie Hirono is now sworn in to her third term. I talked to her about her cancer (kidney with her), and she said that she will have to take medication for the rest of her life, but with the medication, she is keeping it suppressed, and she will be championing any legislation that earmarks resources for cancer research.

Maybe she will ask the Big Pharmaceuticals why there is not yet a cure for cancer? (because if they cure it, then they won't be buying drugs from them FOR THE REST OF THEIR LIVES).

Start with "The Emperor of All Maladies" and the intense efforts that have been expended. This is not a Big Pharma issue.

I was thinking about the cancer she's had recently..

It's amazing to me she can take a pill to "suppress" it
