My son came over for dinner last night. We were taking about the events of the day and I told him a Tesla Cybertruck exploded near the Trump Hotel. I said it looked like a bomb was in it. He said "Nah, that's just what they do. They catch on fire." It took me showing him to the video for him to get it wasn't just a normal Tesla issue/problem.

It's the opposite.

It's a right wing talking point to say they DO catch fire often, because right-wingers are biased to find any fault with EVs, seizing on isolated incidents regardless of prevalence, because they don't believe in anthropogenic climate change. The RWTP is that climate change is natural, there is no man-made aspect, and EVs are an inefficient waste of resources, just drill.

For one, some of the people they bring are not smarter or better prepared than us here...I have been in that boat, the company I worked for started using H1-B visas to bring people from India, we had to prepare them to do the job, some of them could not catch up.

Nice people. One of the people I trained was so thankful that he asked me to stop by his house to have something to eat with him and his family, I did. We ate on the floor, they did not have any furniture, they were sleeping on bed sheets, no pillows, and they could not afford it because they were not getting paid enough. Luckily we had at home about three mattresses that we were not using, and they were pretty new, so I gave the mattresses to them.

And the bottom line is, we train those people so they can replace us. Its like constructing one's own guillotine.

If they is tesla, or specificly tesla cybertrucks... I'd really want to see actual data.

The mini-series is "Fresno" which parodies the prime-time soap-opera-type TV series of the time. One plot line in "Fresno" has the diabolical older brother played by Charles Grodin involved in a plan to bump off his younger, idealistic, environmentally minded brother played by Anthony Heald. One morning, the younger brother's car blows to pieces just after he parked it and walked away from it. He excitedly tells his older brother that someone has just tried to kill him. The older brother pooh-poohs him by saying, "Nobody is trying to kill you. I saw where they have been having that kind of trouble with those models."

If you look at the video the top of the "truck" bed disintegrated allowing the sides of the bed to direct the blast upward instead of toward the buildings entrance. Those "trucks" have been plauged with failures and recalls since they've been on the market. To me it looks like something a child might have built in his backyard out of plywood.
