It takes a special kind of psychopathy to carry around this much anger when you've "won".

It's almost as if cretin & crew were disappointed they won't have a chance to set fire to the country and scream "stolen election!" and stage another coup this month.

What horrible lives they must all lead.

Judging by the way they've been scrambling to do things, like changing the rules to protect Mike Johnson's speakership, and rushing to try to certify Trump's election, I have a feeling they're rushing to beat bad news. Dollars to Donuts that Garland has been sitting on something since September that would have been completely shattering for Trump. It probably has something to do with evidence his team was involved in some type of shenanigans(that weren't actually illegal but completely unethical) like staging the Mar-a-lago "shooter" event or that they were in constant contact with Putin, Bibi, Ogeron and other criminal foreign leaders. He waited until after the election in order to "not unfairly interfere" by telling the American people what Trump's team was up to(you know, like how the Republicans in 2016 refused to support Obama holding a press conference and telling Americans that Russia was interfering on Trump's behalf because it would have been "unfair" to Trump). I've gotten this feeling out of them for a while now. Too many Republicans don't seem "satisfied" with their win.

They support Trump because he hates the same people they do.
They can't rejoice in Trump's victory because they're essentially unhappy people. A "win" just gives them a chance to inflict punishment on all their enemies. They don't know what it is to be satisfied with victory, and move on.
They have a long list of grievances to work through; just look at Kash Patel. His hate is all consuming, and he can't wait to weaponize the FBI, so he can start working through his "enemies" list.
Trump is the same way, as are most of the people he is surrounding himself with.

Yes, they carry a special kind of psychopathy; and, no matter how much pain and suffering they inflict on the ones they hate, they can never be truly happy. It's not something they relate to.
What they haven't figured out is that hate consumes a person from the inside out. The longer they carry their hate, the deeper it embeds itself in their souls. It becomes them.

44. They are still angry about Democratic "elites" and feel inferior.
Thu Jan 2, 2025, 05:55 PM
Jan 2025

Envy is a very dangerous thing. I look at it as being similar to the Ohio State/the rest of the Big Tens hatred towards University of Michigan - where I went. With the exception of Northwestern and a few other big ten schools, most of them have hated Michigan with a passion forever. Ohio State played Tennessee in a bowl game and all the Ohio State people could talk about was how much they hated Michigan while they were playing Tennessee. Michigan’s attitude is more of a “rah-rah let’s beat Ohio States football team.” Not that “we hate the entire school for just existing.” We were getting beaten by them in football for quite a few years in a row but they still had chips on their shoulders and were threatened by us. Michigan State is very similar to Ohio State and their dislike of U of M.

One explanation is the academic record- Michigan is harder to get into, has a reputation for being one of the most liberal Universities out there. I read somewhere that Michigan is thought of by a lot of Ohio State fans as a “smarty-pants elitist” liberal school. And Michigan State is thought of as Michigan’s “little brother” despite them being quite a bit larger - probably because U of M has been around a lot longer.

I think it’s very similar to the red state/Republican attitude vs. the blue state/Democratic thing. (Ironically, our main color is blue and their’s is red).

Nick Saban:
“You know, we’ve kind of gotten on their, sort of, fans a little bit. But, you know, these Ohio State fans? You know, they’ve got a psychotic obsession with Michigan and they need to go get therapy or something to try to get it fixed,” Saban said.

“They have a chance to win the national championship and here you are, you know, and nobody’s excited about their opportunity to play because they, you know, lost to Michigan, which was a tough game and they lost the game, probably, by some of the mistakes that they made. Those are correctable things.”

From Dostoevsky's Brothers Karamazov (Richard Pevear and Larissa Volokhonsky)

A man who lies to himself and listens to his own lie comes to a point where he does not discern any truth either in himself or anywhere around him, and thus falls into disrespect towards himself and others. Not respecting anyone, he ceases to love, and having no love, he gives himself up to passions and coarse pleasures, in order to occupy and amuse himself...and it all comes from lying continually to others and to himself. A man who lies to himself is often the first to take offense. It sometimes feels very good to take offense, doesn’t it? And surely he knows that no one has offended him, and that he himself has invented the offense and told lies just for the beauty of it, that he has exaggerated for the sake of effect, that he has picked on a word and made a mountain out of a pea—he knows all of that, and still he is the first to take offense, he likes feeling offended, it gives him great pleasure, and thus he reaches the point of real hostility …

The anger is the personal characteristic that worries me the most, and second to remaining out of prison, I truly think it is the second driving factor in him even running. This is all about settling scores.

And it's particularly sickening to see so much resentment in a man who has been given everything at every stage of his life, and has been permitted absolute impunity from his teen years to do anything he wants with no consequences whatsoever.

On the spectrum of Strongmen, it's preferable to have one who is not propelled by anger. I haven't studied it, but I bet if you compared autocracies across time, the most violent and unhinged ones were under the purview of an angry strongman.

Worse, Trump has surrounded himself with angry people like Stephen Miller, Steve Bannon, Kash Patel. It's going to be an orgy of viciousness.
