VP Harris does not certify

I would love for the vice President states during the ceremony say that he's a insurrectionist and cannot assume the role of POTUS.
I realize SCOTUS would eventually overturn, but, tired of always being the grownups.

Which was clarified by the revised Electoral Count Act.

The VP’s role is strictly ceremonial, with no decision making authority whatsoever.

Congress approves new election certification rules in response to Jan. 6

Congress on Friday gave final passage to legislation changing the arcane law that governs the certification of a presidential contest, the strongest effort yet to avoid a repeat of Donald Trump's violence-inflaming push to reverse his loss in the 2020 election.

The House passed an overhaul of the Electoral Count Act as part of its massive, end-of-the-year spending bill, after the Senate approved identical wording Thursday. The legislation now goes to President Joe Biden for his signature.

Biden hailed the provisions' inclusion in the spending bill in a statement Friday, calling it "critical bipartisan action that will help ensure that the will of the people is preserved."

It's the most significant legislative response Congress has made yet to Trump's aggressive efforts to upend the popular vote, and a step that been urged by the House select committee that conducted the most thorough investigation into the violent siege of the Capitol.

Joe could enable her to be president for about a month.
William Henry Harrison was president for 32 days, not of his choice, mind you.

So, I am offering these two presidential place mats.
You (and Joe) must choose wisely.
(Note, they seem to be somewhat randomized. Damn, this shitty internet. I couldn't find a better one yesterday)

Half the members are posting doom and gloom and that this was the last election ever.
If so, then this is America's last chance to do the right thing.

Optimists are saying that this is bullshit, but don't offer an attack plan (admittedly, that's for leaders to do, but we need a leader not just of the party but of the cause, as in Dr. Martin Luther King)

I made a start in Activist HQ
https://www.democraticunderground.com/10113622

And a call for powerful leadership.
https://www.democraticunderground.com/100219825280#!

But who leads our way, above the usual primary fray?

Is there a new Dr. Martin Luther King?
An American Gandhi, Nelson Mandela or Desmond Tutu?
Howard Zinn, Benjamin Spock, Daniel Berrigan, and others outside the political races are gone.

These were all visionaries more than organizers. (it varies, of course)
The party of Putin has more or less permanent organizers and propagandists and a "rotating racist" as a candidate.
How convenient!

Who has the skill with people and organizing/managing?
We have several. Look at the enormous skills of the Clintons, Barack Obama and Joe Biden
"but the primaries".

We need a more or less "permanent" leadership not swayed nor blown up by primary battles.
Change all you want. There is no solid foundation to keep the pressure on.

The right wing has their "charismatic" (though demented) fuhrer in Trump.

We just don't have anyone "above" the primary wars, which are already shaping up.
I say, create it now, inside the party or outside it, as with the Civil Rights leaders mentioned above.

Without such presence, this is the last chance for a woman president. IMNSHO
