Congressman Tim Burchett, Republican of Tennessee, shared with Fox News on Monday his outrage over the release of the long-awaited Matt Gaetz investigative report from the House Ethics Committee.
I think its vindictive in nature, Burchett said. I just dont see the point in all this is, a couple of old timers are going to cackle about it, and again, its not been proven, this is just a report, stressing that it is not a court of law.
The allegations against Gaetz, of which Burchett doesnt think the public should be made aware, include paying multiple womenincluding a minorfor sex and purchasing and using illegal drugs while serving in office.
The Committee concluded there was substantial evidence that Representative Gaetz violated House Rules, state and federal laws, and other standards of conduct prohibiting prostitution, statutory rape, illicit drug use, acceptance of impermissible gifts, the provision of special favors and privileges, and obstruction of Congress, the report concluded.

Instead of worrying about the scum in Florida.

(2,259 posts)Burchett is typical of Republicans contempt for the right of the people to know.
And hes outraged only because it reflects poorly on Republicans and Trump.

He should be kicked out of office too, what other bad behavior has he condoned w/o telling any of us about it/overlooked it?

(16,935 posts).... nailing under aged girls. Quite often he had video backup that he gleefully shared of minor girls all drunk and drugged up at orgies Gaetz organized to entertain himself and his buddies.
Congressmen would say how do you keep an election and have intercourse all night ? Gaetz would respond,... I gulp down three or four Viagra erectile disfunction pills and wash them down with extremely high caffeine energy drinks like Red Bull, Rockstar, or Monster,.. that teenagers like to guzzle. That allowed Gaetz to keep a hard on for 10 to 12 hours.
Gaetz blew the whistle on himself because his alpha male macho man ego could not help but brag his brains out about all the juicy details of his sex orgy exploits. The rich boy, rock star, hyper virile, Playboy, young, tall, dark, and handsome Congressman from the big city. Matt Gaetz had the virgin young under aged girls wrapped around his fingers like a moviestar would.
Until they finally found out what this pedo was up to and shut him down.

(3,498 posts)They have no problem showing Hunter Biden's pictures and referring to Biden's family as "the Biden crime family". No court of law involved there.
It's very similar to the way reichwing Evangelicals claim that the existence of any other belief system or culture is an attack on them. Any attempt to reveal or punish Republican crimes is spun as an assault on the party, the rule of law, and the nation itself.

(3,498 posts)They all cried foul when they got delayed putting out their stories about Hunter Biden (not even a public servant) on the internet.
They went after social media, accused them of surpressing their unproven bullshit, even had hearings about how their freedom of speech was infringed.

(1,480 posts)That WE paid for. A report that was created by a committee, who's members are elected and paid by US, the U.S. taxpayer. It deserves to be public. This dick thinks it should have been swept under the rug. Fuck him.
