into the members and former members of Congress that have claimed in public and private they have information about crimes and improper conduct of fellow members. They have threatened to blackmail others with this and should be forced to testify under oath about what they know. I know rule of law is lacking in this country but why is this so hard ?

Gs story is out, and investigations are long, tedious, and have a proclivity for not producing much fruit..

(1,562 posts)going to investigate Clarence Thomas and Alito? If the filings were far enough off to warrant a trial and prison sentences, the entire judicial system may come to its senses!!!

(19,529 posts)And god knows what dirt there is on some Dems to cause such a meek response to all this. We're not the driven snow after all. I remember ABSCAM and Dollar Bill's freezer. Of course, that was when we had a functioning Justice Dept. I fear we haven't had one in quite some time.
