AOC: "Oh, I don't think we're witnessing the START of an oligarchy. I think we are fully here." 🇺🇸

Short and point on IMHO.

To own more than an entire nation, you are in a oligarchy. That's what capitalism is all about. Concentrating the wealth in just a few people's control. It's why democracies fail. You can't have democracy in your government and ravaging inequitable capitalism in your economy. You need democracy in both places.

But... no one is going to listen to you because capitalism is one of the mechanisms that they use to keep us under their thumb. The day that a business model became a societal model was the day we fell into full on oligarchy.

And, we just let it happen because our rich overlords told us that it was best. The idea that the unapologetic rich are seen as anything other than the destructive leeches that they are is both horrific and laughable. But, it is policy. It is accepted. It is America.

We really need to stop with the 'economy is all' attitude. We are people, not workers. We live for living, not for working. All of this type of thinking is freaking programming and yet we don't seem to care. We just continue to be subservient to people waving American flags while they destroy our very lives with their greed and arrogance. The planet is suffering already. They don't care. (They will when the planet decides to correct the problem. It has done so in the past. Of course, that will be too late. Why we think it won't happen again is just more idiotic arrogance.)

We are getting what our greedy asses deserve. And, all because of arrogance and ego... two things that rule our country and that need to be removed at once. (Fat chance.)

Republicans gave billionaires their chance to overcome Democrats of any and all ages. Dividing Democrats was their goal and they were handed power.

They are attacking women. They are attacking universities. They are going to take your O/T, and if they can, they will take Social Security too. They have a lunatic ready to take away vaccines. There is very little middle class left. They are after the press ... the list goes on and on.

FEUDALISM and RENT SEEKING.... as we kiss capitalism goodbye.

Socialism was just another distraction pushed by the oligarchs.

Rent-seeking:
- Reduced economic efficiency: Resources are mis- allocated, competition is stifled
- Unfair prices and barriers for individual consumers
- Increased income inequality
- Corruption and cronyism
- Decreased public trust

Democracy >>>>> FASCISM (political theory)
Capitalism >>>>>> FEUDALISM (economic theory)

– Frédéric Bastiat, Economic Sophisms, 2nd series (1848), Ch. 1 "Physiology of Plunder."

And sadly, it's the "moral code" that trickles down, not the $!!

(So AOC, you're doing what about this?)
