'2,000 Drones Fall From The Sky After Failing During Light Show'

"A dramatic light show featuring thousands of drones went awry this week when around 2,000 of the flying craft started plummeting to the ground...A drone and firework show in China went disastrously wrong when around 2,000 of the quad-copters went haywire and started falling from the sky, reports Australia’s ABC News."

"Theories have now begun swirling around what could have caused the mass outage for the drones. ABC suggests that the failure could have been as a result of high winds that drained the batteries of the drones quicker than expected. Some people online also believe that something called an “anti-drone gun” could have been involved."

"According to the outlet, some drones used in the show weren’t previously reported to the authorities or registered with air traffic control in the area. As such, police saw the drones as 'rogue aircraft' and it’s been suggested that jamming guns were deployed. The electronic weapons can stop a drone in its tracks at a range of about one mile."

Dronebuster Handheld Counter-Unmanned Aerial System (C-UAS), USA

Dronebuster has multiple applications ranging from base protection to convoy and critical infrastructure security.

Air Force Technology, February 2, 2022

Dronebuster C-UAS is a compact, lightweight, handheld counter-unmanned aerial system (C-UAS) solution for commercial off-the-shelf (COTS) drones that pose threat to fixed military establishments.

Designed and developed by US-based firm Flex Force Enterprises (Flex Force), it can be converted from an integrated, fixed-site jammer into a man-portable jammer that can be handled by dismounted troops and first responders.

The C-UAS is the only handheld electronic attack system approved by the US Department of Defense (DoD) for neutralising UAVs. It is being offered in multiple variants with different standard configurations based on user requirements.

RHT completed the delivery of 200 Block 3 configuration Dronebusters to the US DoD and Nato partners by the end of 2017. Flex Force delivered the 1,000th system in February 2022.
