Democrats better stand strong on this. They had a debt deal solidified then trump and musk came by and squashed it.

The elections are all over and there is nothing to lose against these degenerates.

If we cannot stand solid on this, then we are irrelevent, and that is bullshit.

10. I feel like the right has successfully pushed this narrative about lawmaker pay.

It doesn’t hurt the millionaire caucus to freeze their pay, these people aren’t there for the paycheck, but purely for power.

It only hurts actual citizen lawmakers, folks like AOC and others, who are the only ones actually harmed by dumb policies like this.

Making sure that in the rare case a normal person could be elected to Congress, that they would have the ability to maintain residences in very expensive Washington and their home state without being destitute should be the goal.

Either he puts the country first or he loses his speakership. He might lose it anyway.

9. Well, there is the option to raise the debt ceiling by $1 Million.

The House can then claim they raised the debt ceiling...
Of course, that is the equivalent of couch cushion change or Grammy sending you a two dollar bill for your tenth birthday, but we can call it "The Donald Trump and Elon Musk Gratuitous Debt Ceiling Increase of 2024" to make everyone happy.
