Usually this game of chicken with the CR ends at the last minute and it passes

I'm not so sure it will this time. It's awful because it's going to hurt people.

They are trying to run our government via idiot influencers on Leon's cesspool. Those clueless fools want a shutdown. The Trump/Maga administration is going to start on a bad note and are prove to all that they are ineffective and do not know how to govern.

The workers always end up getting paid in areats for the days they didnt work. That isnt required, its just routine.

Something tells me it wont be this time. They will effectively lose a couple of months of pay.

To solve a crisis, create a crisis. You can control the type and magnitude of the crisis that way, and paint yourself the victor, which is easier to sell to the public.

Dems have NEVER shut the government down for spending bill.
This is a Newt, slimy lizard, invention.
He did shut his first TWO wives down, family values and all. The last plastic hair blonde must be getting a little mileage in her by now.
And be is still a sought after talking head for GQP.

I'll bet there are people who still haven't recovered from the last republican govt shutdowns. One was over a month, IIRC. They don't realize some of the consequences of losing an entire month's pay when you live paycheck to paycheck. But like I said above, they don't give a shit either. We have elected heartless, incompetent men to lead our country & half the nation is cheering them on. For now, anyway.

Not a single democratic vote for any draconian cuts or hits on social security and Medicare. Speaker Johnson has the chair let him maneuver his 1 seat majority without being bailed out this go around.

And stiff the local security/medical/people instead.

Just like the campaign rallies.

I know people will be hurt -

But it's a necessary evil.

Biden is still the President - and TFG/President Musk need to sit down and shut up. It's not their turn.

The shutdown needs to be owned completely by the Magats. So does raising the debt ceiling. They can do it in February.

If not - - let them shut it down. Jeffries has been clear - they will not negotiate with fascist terrorists.
