Missouri Republican lawmaker wants to require schools to display the Ten Commandments

https://www.yahoo.com/news/missouri-republican-lawmaker-wants-require-122500039.html

A Missouri Republican lawmaker wants every public and charter school classroom in the state to display the Ten Commandments, sparking concern from at least one Kansas City area school district.

A bill filed this month by Rep. Hardy Billington, a Poplar Bluff Republican, would require public school districts and charter schools to display copies of the Ten Commandments, a set of ethical directions from the Old Testament, in every building and classroom.

The legislation is part of a broader push to inject religious teachings into schools and comes as a growing number of Republicans nationally have openly embraced arguments that American politics and culture are rooted in the Christian faith.

Billington’s bill also follows similar legislation in other GOP-led states, such as Louisiana, which recently passed a law to require the Ten Commandments in schools. A federal judge last month blocked the Louisiana law on constitutional grounds.

That said, why their focus on the Ten Commandments in particular when there are other commands in the bible to choose from?

Which gives me another opportunity to say: Instead of putting Bibles and other religious crapola in Public Schools, put Egyptian history books in all the churches. That way, it will all come crashing down much sooner!

THE SATANIC TEMPLE VS. CHURCH OF SATAN

https://thesatanictemple.com/pages/about-us

The Satanic Temple has become the primary religious Satanic organization in the world with congregations internationally, and a number of high-profile public campaigns designed to preserve and advance secularism and individual liberties. The rise of The Satanic Temple has been met with an increase in commentary regarding what Satanism is as media outlets struggle to grasp how this upstart religion has begun to shift religious liberty debates with claims of equal access.

With unfortunate regularity - and much to our chagrin - The Satanic Temple is confused with an earlier organization, the Church of Satan, founded by Anton Szandor LaVey in the 1960s. The Church of Satan expresses vehement opposition to the campaigns and activities of The Satanic Temple, asserting themselves as the only “true” arbiters of Satanism, while The Satanic Temple dismisses the Church of Satan as irrelevant and inactive.

Why not post them if the government is so anxious to have them up. Something on the schoolroom wall is just that to kids.
99% will just ignore it. If a teacher has to answer questions about the commandments it might raise some interesting comments.
Long story short I don’t think it will change anyone’s behavior.
The posting will not have the effect authorities want.

(I realize this approach disregards other aspects of the posting).

as long as there is a chart highlighting all the ones Donnie Dipshit has violated.

I shut down a dipshit at church last Sunday. He tried to pull that; "God has chosen flawed men before to fulfill his works". He then cited Paul.

I simply said; "so, after God chose Paul, did Paul continue murdering, torturing and persecuting Christians"?
