Out Front on CNN: what happened to Nancy Pelosi up next

7:48 ET

In hospital overnight. Still doing her work. Broken hip. Regrets not being able to Represent the US.

The photo shared by the embassy appeared to show Pelosi wearing her signature stiletto-heeled pumps that she’s used to walk on the marble floors of the U.S. Capitol for decades.

Pelosi has a special tie to the key WWII battle she traveled to commemorate, in which outnumbered Allied forces fended off a German advance in the Ardennes. Her uncle, John ‘Johnny’ D’Alesandro, was killed during the battle.

“There wasn’t a day that went by that my father didn’t mourn the loss of his brother,” she recalled in a statement in a statement in 2010.

1. If she is able to work, that is a good sign.

But she should be resting and taking it easy right now.

in the elderly, they often don't fully recover and take a turn even months later. If she is working that is great.

I'm on PC. Kinda acts like a pop-up a little bit, maybe your phone is blocking it.

We need her healthy so I’m hoping they have better care where she is because I don’t think she’s going anywhere for a while.

9. If you are referring to high heels, I agree. Women shouldn't wear that garbage anyway.

Broken hips are serious business, and given how petite she is, she is at risk for osteoporosis, if she doesn't already have it.

the hip doesn’t break due to falling, the hip fractures, causing the fall.
